Updates for the past few days:
1.
I went shopping with Pearl last friday. It was a random decision made by me that day and im glad that Pearl was spontaneous enough to go with me. Legs ached but i enjoyed myself ^^
2.
Watched KungFu Panda 2 on Sunday. Tried to match make SH and HS (ha! Their initials are opposite).
3.
I got a phone cover, yay! I've always wanted to get it but hardly any shops sell SAMSUNG ACE's phone covers =.=
4.
Watched X-men: First Class today.
Tbh, i dont watch a lot of action packed movies because my friends always watch cartoon comedies. So movies like Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord Of The Rings and... X-men. Seriously. I have no idea what X-men is about except like Jean Grey and Storm. As i grow older, i began to appreciate superheroes movies. But i was still skeptical about X-men: First Class for some reason.
And after watching the movie, i've gotta say...
ITS THE BEST MOVIE I WATCHED THIS YEAR. Well, not that i watched a lot of movies in 2011. But anyway, i felt it was as awesome as The Sorcerer's Apprentice/Inception. I tried to keep track of the 3 Act structure, and how dialogues reflect the characters but halfway through, i thought, heck, this movie is too good to be having an occupational hazard.
And i dont regret not watching the rest of the X-men movies first. Because i like everything to be in sequence. Like Momento. Its a cool movie but i had such a hard time piecing the whole story together because its not chronically in order. So yes, im gonna watch the rest of the X-men movies now.
I rate X-Men: First Class 10 stars out of 5
Its waaaaaaay beyond awesome. And there are hot looking guys coughsJames McAvoycoughsLucasTillcoughsNicholasHoult. And partly because im now a mutant too \m/
I swear if you miss this movie, you're gonna miss the movie of the year.
As for KungFu Panda, i rate it 4.5 out of 5
Its nice AND funny. But the thing is, after watching the movie, i felt that they were trying too hard to be funny at all times. However for most part, its real funny (:
Moving on.
After the movie, Gaya, Shafeeqah, Anginn and me went to slack. Tbh, i dont remember much of the content we talked but we talked about random stuff for hours. We wanted to go sing k... then we wanted to go fish foot spa... then we wanted to go massage palour but none of the above happened. We just talked and talked and talked and basically talked.
One of the things we talked about was having a class outing.
IDC. WE ARE GONNA HAVE A CLASS OUTING AND EVERYONE IS GONNA ATTEND OR I USE MY SUPER POWER. Ha, just kidding. Too caught up with being a mutant :/
But honestly we are in need of a class outing. 01 is so segregated that we just might be people from different classes. When we graduate, we wont have any memories because we dont spend time together - except for dying over CAs. And i came up with 2 factors of why we are so segregated:
1. We are too different.
We have a range of different personalities. What one group likes, the other does not. We enjoy things that are of extreme ends. Its totally bipolar.
1. We are too comfortable in our comfort zone.
Because we are so different, we dont bother trying to get to know each other. We just stick to personalities we know best. Without CPD, i dont think i would hang out with Gaya they all cause they're so different from my usual friends and i would not want to know them better.
BUT WE NEED TO BREAK THROUGH.
I mean, i never thought i would be friends with Shafeeqah, Gaya, Shawn and even Xiuwen last year. But after getting to know them better, i realised that they're nice to hang out with too. And do you know that last year, i was closer with my CCA mates? I even actually thought that i would never feel close with my classmates. Im not joking.
We may be different, we may dislike one another but at the end of the day, we are a class and we are supposed to be united. We only have one and a half year left before we graduate and if we want to make a change, it has to start today.
Stop being anti-social. Stop limiting yourselves to your usual group. Stop slacking at home. Live life and enjoy the spontaneity that comes with it. And... try to be a class instead of a clique.
Im not lecturing but just reminding us of the real situation. Is this really how DTVM 01 gonna end or are we going to have a blast as a class?
