A few days ago, my teacher played with us a game where she will flashed the first few lines of each stories/movies and we're supposed to guess where it came from. As i have limited memory, most of the lines flashed looked foreign to me. Except for one.

"All children, except one, grew up"

When i saw this sentence, i was so excited that i shout out the answer really loudly. Because this sentence belongs to Peter Pan.

I love Peter Pan.

I think it has something to do with the movie. After i saw the movie, there was an emotion inside me that i cant explain. It bothered me for awhile. This was strange as people normally dont get any lingering feelings after watching a movie.

But Peter Pan was special.

It was one of the movies where i wouldnt get sick, no matter how many times i watch it. And every time it reaches the scene where Peter Pan was losing the fight because he was losing his happiness, i couldnt help but cry. And everytime Peter said "To die would be an awfully great adventure", my heart couldnt help but swell. I decided then and there that it would be one of my favourite quotes.

I really wanted Peter and Wendy to be together - i never felt so strongly for any other characters before. Such a sweet childhood, innocent, first love. It really bummed me but if they were to get together, the feeling wouldnt be right. I dont know, it just doesnt feels right if they really married each other.

Oh, if only Peter Pan were real!

So, since i've talk about one character that i really like, im obliged to talk about one character that i dislike, no? Well, no doubt, that one character would be...

ZOEY REDBIRD

I hate her, i hate her, i hate her to the core. I cant fathom why anyone would like her. It started out fine. I could understand why she had two boyfriends. One (Heath) refused to leave her alone and she likes the other boy (Eric) so what could she do? I was totally fine that Zoey had two boyfriends in the first book. I actually detest Heath for being such a bug.

But in the second (or was it third?) book, she fell in love with another man. The nerve of her!! At that point of time, Eric was still the perfect boyfriend. Yet she could like another guy (It was her lecturer. I think his name was Loren)! Zoey was playing around with three guys but she wouldnt admit it. And guess what? She had sex with that lecturer while having 2 other boyfriends.

Like, excuse me??

Zoey kept saying how womanly Loren had made her felt. What a stupid excuse. If she likes feeling womanly, then ditch Eric, for goodness sick! Eric was kind enough to tolerate the fact that she imprinted with Heath. And now a lecturer? Eric dumped her and her imprint with Heath was overwrote and the lecturer died.

Ok, so now, zero boyfriends. But she wouldnt be Zoey Redbird if she didnt have any boyfriend. So, Eric forgave her (rolls eyes) and they got back together. Heath also forgave her and imprinted with her all over again.

But wait, it wouldnt be right if she only has 2 boyfriends! And thats where Kalona comes in. He's supposed to be this perfect angel (literal) and is absolutely in love with Zoey because he believes that Zoey is the reincarnation of his previous love. Zoey cant be in love with him because Kalona is her enemy but that doesnt mean she cant feel attracted right?

And there, 3 guys to handle. But hold your horses. 3 boys apparently are not enough to satisfy Zoey. So put your hands together and welcome Stark.

Oh then Heath died and Eric became possessive so they broke up.

You can imagine how the rest of the story unfolds. I mean, seriously? 4 - 5 guys? Yes, i know she is described as hot and supposedly the most beautiful female on earth. But that doesnt mean that she can flirt around! And just because the guys are hot doesnt mean that she is allowed to let emotions flying around when she is in a relationship(s). Where is your self-control??

And the most infuriating point is, from the beginning of the book, Zoey kept calling Aphrodite a ho. Calling the kettle black much? Zoey keeps saying "Oh no, im acting like a ho," but she does nothing to prevent that. "Oh, i cant be with him" and yet she feels attracted to him. If you are a ho, say so! Stop trying to make people think that you have no choice but to be a ho.

The writers tried so hard to create this perfect character that she becomes 1D. Its like Zoey has no flaws, and no guy can resist her. I mean, would any guy forgives a girl who cheated on him and hurt him by having other boyfriends? In reality, guys will tell the girl to F off instead of begging her back. Seriously lor, its so ridiculous that i can barely read the series. Usually, when i read a book, i dont put it down until i finish it or something interrupts me. But HON made me so frustrated that i put it down and continue it some other time.

The only reason why im reading it still is because ive already bought so many of the books. Even the plot wasnt that good. I've never hated a character so much before. Its silly, really. But Zoey is so hateful that i really cannot help it! If she were a real life person, i would've given her a slap. What a bitch. Even Aphrodite is so much better lor. Because at least she admits that she's bitchy.

Ok, i shall not go on anymore. Please go and read the series and tell me how much you hate Zoey Redbird too.
