AFTERMATH

Muscles aching from dragon boating. According to Hazel who sat beside me during the course, i carried a stone-cold expression every time i stop rowing and she laughed at how un-sporty i am. Honestly speaking, i think dragon boating is quite fun because it really requires team work. I did not enjoy getting splashed by (dirty) water however. Anyway, nothing can be worse than Book of Mark so i shall not complain.

Learnt a lot the past few days. Not just in terms of skills but also about people. I love the church community, i think i really do. I have been on an affirmation streak the past few weeks. My brain must be malfunctioning (or like finally functioning) because i usually can't even remember what i ate the day before but suddenly the little things that people did resurfaced in my mind and i either feel grateful or in awe. The night when the ULs treated us to dim sum, i was too tired to be engaged in the ongoing conversations but as i sat there in silence watching everyone talk, i started to notice and appreciate people for who they are. 3 takeaways from camp: Everyone is precious, everyone has their own struggles, we are not alone.

On another note, planning to jot down my thoughts about leadership soon. In fact, i am aiming to be more intentional with journalling down my life and reflections more so that i am forced to not just live life physically but mentally too.

Also, i just received a free ice cream. Am proceeding to eat the ice cream and so i shall post this without a title first and come back for edit later, yay!
